Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain tide generating facilities that can improve the stability of their operational attitude, by mutually connecting casings by means of horizontal beams so that all hydraulic turbines be jaxtaposed on a horizontal line rectangular to the flow direction of a tide while making the shafts parallel.
CONSTITUTION: Each hydraulic turbine generating set 11AW11D is formed by one propeller hydraulic turbine 12, one generating chamber casing 13, one generator 14 housed in the casing 13 and one over-drive gear 15 put between the hydraulic turbine and the generator per one generating set. The casings 13 of each hydraulic turbine generating set 11AW11D are mutually connected through horizontal beams 16 so that the shafts of each propeller hydraulic turbine 12 be arranged in shapes that the shafts are in parallel and are disposed on a line approximately rectangular to the flow direction A of a tide. Said assembled bodies are connected to a buoy 18 through connecting beams 17 in the longitudinal direction, and held by means of the buoy 15 in shapes that they are suspended under the surface of the sea.
