Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize a gyro effect of a flywheel in order to reduce the rocking of a ship, by locating on a ship two combination sets of a motor-generator and a flywheel so that the two sets will be mated and their respective flywheels will rotate in a reverse direction to each other.
CONSTITUTION: Each of a No.1 energy storage equipment 2 and a No.4 energy storage equipment 2 is located so that their respective flywheels 3, 3 are in series to approximately a central line of a ship. The No.1 energy storage equipment 2 and No.4 energy equipment 2 shall mate, and their rspective flywheels shall rotate in a reverse direction to each other like a (g) and a (h) rotation direction. This causes the rocking in a X direction of the ship to be absorbed. And each of a No.2 energy storage equipment 2 and a No.3 energy storage equipment 2 is located so that their respective flywheels are in parallel to the beam, and thus, the rocking in a Y direction of the ship can be absorbed.
