Abstract

PURPOSE: To simultaneously, further safely and surely warm up both high and intermediate pressure turbines, by forcibly introducing the steam to the intermediate pressure turbine from a comb-tooth part provided between the high pressure turbine and the intermediate pressure turbine.
CONSTITUTION: A comb-tooth part 17 and emergency blow down valve 19 are provided between a high pressure turbine 1 and intermediate pressure turbine 2. When the turbines are warmed up, if a switch is turned on, the air of an air header 20 is applied to an emergency blow down valve 19 to overcome the tension of a spring 19c and forcibly make full close a valve unit 19b. This causes the steam for warming up the high pressure turbine 1 to be prevented from leaking to flow into a condenser 4, and the steam is forcibly introduced into the intermediate pressure turbine 2 to warm up the intermediate pressure turbine 2. In this way, a metal mismatching amount at the time of starting can be decreased to reduce the thermal stress and improve a reliability and safety.
