Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently utilize heat energy of exhaust gas of a waste heat recovering turbo generator by effecting, when the capacity of the waste heat recovering turbo generator is exceeded by the load of the ship, parallel running of the waste heat recovering turbo generator and a Diesel engine generator which shares that part of the load of the ship which exceeds the capacity of the waste heat recovering turbo generator.
CONSTITUTION: When a Diesel engine generator 9a is run singly in a manual running mode (A-1), the pressure of steam of an exhaust gas economizer 2 is gradually raised in response to a rise of rotation of a main machine Diesel engine 1 to a degree that a waste heat recovering turbo generator 4a can be brought into running, whereupon a governor 12 of a turbine 13 is manually operated to control the turbine 3 to a predetermined rotational frequency (A-2). The turbo generator 4a is then brought into synchronization to effect a parallel running with the Diesel engine generator 9a (A-3). Subsequently, the governor 12 of the turbine 3 is operated to open a regulator valve 7 so that the load to the Diesel engine generator 9a is transferred to the turbo generator 4a (A-4) to bring the Diesel engine generator 9a into no load running whereby the turbo generator 4a is run singly.
