Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote ground improvement by the compaction sinking of soft ground and also reinforce the soft ground by a method wherein a composite material made by mixing a bituminous stuff in one or more kinds of aggregate out of sand, gravel, shaft-furnace (converter) slag and others is struck in the soft ground so as to form a post-like body.
CONSTITUTION: A casing C for striking a post-like body is hung and placed on the soft ground by a crane 1 mounted on a crane truck B and is intruded into the ground A by operating an exciter 2. Next, a bituminous composite material 3 made by mixing a bituminous stuff in the aggregate such as sand, gravel, macadam, or that such as shaft-furnace (converter) slag and heating the mixture is brought in by a dump truck 4 and thrown in the casing C by a hopper 5 thereof. Then, the casing C being pulled up, compressed air is sent in from an air port 6 of the casing C and the composite material 3 is struck in to the desired depth, thereby the post-like body D being formed. In addition, earth-banking E is performed and thereby the soft ground A is sunk through compaction.
