Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of processes and facilitate assembly and disassembly by a method wherein the supporting shaft of a fan and the shaft of a generator are constructed in a hollow form; and the fan is fixed by letting a bolt pass through the empty portion, then screwing its end into the crank shaft of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A plastic cooling fan 5 is fixed to a supporting shaft 6 in a hollow container with a bolt 7, and the supporting shaft 6 is mounted on the shaft 1 of a generator in the hollow container in such a way that one end of the shaft is pressed to the internal surface of a bearing 4. The other end of the shaft 1 of the generator is connected to the crank shaft 2 of an engine via a taper surface 1a, then a bolt 8 is passed through a washer into the hollow container, and the shaft 1 of the generator is connected to the crank shaft 2 of the engine by screwing the end of the bolt 8 into the end of the crank shaft 2 of the engine so that the cooling fan 5 is fitted to the crank shaft. By so doing, the fitting of the cooling fan 5 is simplified and, at the same time, the assembly and disassembly of the fan are made easier.
