Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the accurate measurement of mean velocity of flow irrespective of water level changes by correcting the flow velocity signal obtainable by an ultrasonic current flows by the correction factor based on the water level signal by an ultrasonic level gauge.
CONSTITUTION: The flow velocity v measured by ultrasonic flow velocity detecting parts 21, 22 and converted by a flow velocity converter 3 is inputted to an operator 7. Further the water level H of flowing water is measured by the ultrasonic level gauge detecting part 5 provided in the upper part of an open channel 1 and the level H converted by a level converter 6 is inputted to the operator 7.
