PURPOSE:To reduce irregularity of the time until CD (carrier detection output) turning-on to enhance reliability, by detecting the carrier only when a signal of a fixed-range period comes fixed-number times. CONSTITUTION:When signal RPHS5 which has the waveform shaped is input, counter 7 consisting of IC1 starts counting square wave V9CK6 from the rise time, and an output pulse appears in NAND gate 9 to set Q1 of FF10 to 1 just when counter 7 counts 1556. The phase signal falls at a period of 333.3ms, and counter 7 is reset. Then, output Q2 of FF11 is set to 1 when the counter counts 1556 in the counting started from the rise of the second phase signal. At the rise of the next phase signal, output Q3 of FF12 is set to 1. That is, carrier detecton signal CD is turned on when the period of the phase signal comes twice accurately. Thus, CD is turned on when regular phase signal comes, and the carrier is so detected that no carrier may be detected for signals other than the regular phase signal.
