PURPOSE:To make a circuit easy to use and improve performance, by driving the transistor, which controls an attenuator, by a negative control voltage and by providing impedance matching circuits in the input side and the output side respectively. CONSTITUTION:A negative control voltage is applied to the base of PNP transistor TR 15. The attenuation quantity of attenuator 16 is changed by this negative voltage. Consequently, the high frequency signal from input terminal 1 is matched by impedance matching circuit 17 and is sent to attenuator 16, and the output from attenuator 16 is matched by matching circuit 18 and has the level controlled under this state and is outputted to output terminal 7. Thus, since the transistor is driven by the negative control voltage, this unit becomes easy to use in case that the unit is incorporated in a receiver using a negative voltage, and mismatching does not occur to improve performance stably because matching circuits are provided.
