Abstract

A controlled voltage source variable equalization network for changing the amplitude characteristics of a signal includes a pair of parallel connected signal paths. In one of the signal paths there is a first impedance 97 and in the other signal path there is a series circuit made up of a second impedance 107 and a variable amplitude adjusting device 101 having zero or negligible output impedance. The network may be connected either in the forward or in the feedback path of an amplifier 95 by means of gauged switches S1, S2. Alternatively other elements may be connected to it (Figures 13, 16, 19).
