Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely open and close a small gas puring hole in a gas purging valve in which the gas purging small hole is provided in a valve element and is opened and closed by the ascent and descent of a float, by making most of a face, which extends on a gas purging passage at the time of opening of the valve element, as a slope which becomes higher toward the center of the valve element.

CONSTITUTION: A gas purging valve, which is connected to a fluid transportion pipe 1 or the like, has a bottomed cylindrical guide 4 in a valve chamber A of a casing body 3. A valve element 5 and a float 6 are provided in the guide 4 so that the valve element and the float can be vertically moved. Gas in the transportation pipe 1 is discharged through gas purging holes 9. A liquid flows in through a small hole 10 of the lower part of the guide 4 and the fluid level rises as the gas is discharged. At that time, the valve element 5 having a small gas purging hole 11 is elevated to shut off a large gas purging hole 7. Most of the face of the guide 4, which extends on a gas purging passage R, is made as a slope F having an elevation angle of 40° or the like toward the center to suppress the occurrence of a vortex on the top of the valve element 5.
