Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the early discovery of the fault of the pressure transmitter in the state that it is held mounted to plant by providing an electromagnetic pump for fault detection between the pressure measuring diaphragm and measuring fluid.
CONSTITUTION: Piping 2 in which metal fluid 1 flows and a vessel 5 having a measuring diaphragm 4 in its inside are connected by means of a fine pipe 3 and an electromagnetic pump 13 for fault detection is provided on the outer side thereof. A case 5 is then connected to a case 9 by means of a capillary tube 7 and the case 9 is connected to a pressure transmitter 12 by way of a capillary tube 10. The pressure P of the piping 2 is transmitted to the pressure transmitter 12 by way of the measuring diaphragm 4 of the case 5, primary sealing liquid 6, the measuring diaphragm 8 of the case 9 and secondary sealing liquid 11. As a result of this, voltage is periodically applied to the electromagnetic pump 13 and the pressure of the loop side plus the pressure of the electromagnetic pump are recorded as the output signal of the pressure transmitter 12, by which the decrease of the pressure signal level, the delay of the pressure signal, etc. may be detected and the fault of the pressure detector is discovered in an early time.
