Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize a corroding portion while facilitating the exchange of an airtight vessel forming a plating chamber on account of wear by a mechanism wherein the airtight vessel is made up by two anticorrosive cover members holding a metallic cylinder and combined by means of a common bolt.
CONSTITUTION: An airtight vessel 2 of a plating device at high speed used for hard chrome plating, etc. is formed in such a manner that both ends of a metallic cylinder 9 functioning as an anode are held by cover members 12, 12 consisting of anticorrosive resin or an insulating material, etc. coated with resin, and integrally combined by means of a bolt 13 and a nut 10. A plating chamber is built up in the airtight vessel. According to this constitution, only the metallic cylinder 9 requiring conduction is corroded by an electrolyte. The metallic cylinder 9 is easily exchanged because the cylinder can be disassembled only by loosening the bolt 13 in the airtight vessel 2.
