Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain stable starting condition by determining the opening time pulse length of the fuel injection valve at the start of engine corresponding to the engine rotating speed, engine model temperature, and time elapsed from the start of cranking.
CONSTITUTION: When the output signal from the starter of-off sensor 3 indicates that the starter motor is on, the fuel injection valve pulse length corresponding to the engine model temperature detected at the temperature sensor 2 is computed or found by the table look up which detects and reads the temperature by memorizing, in advance, the value equivalent to the appropriate fuel injection valve pulse length corresponding to the temperature. Then, the coefficient in proportion to the engine rotating speed which is detected at the speed sensor 1 is found. Furthermore, the coefficient in proportion to the time elapsed from the moment of start is found by the timer which is started at the start of the starter motor. The fuel injection valve opening time pulse length is calculated by these coefficients and the results are transmitted from the output terminal 9.
