PURPOSE: To atomize a coating in coincidence with the shape of atomizing, and to improve the efficiency of application, by a method wherein the shape of a body to be applied which is detected is corrected to the shape of atomizing and the locations of an atomizing gun and the body to be applied are compared.
CONSTITUTION: The shape of a body to be applied C is detected by means of a detector A, and memorized to a register circuit 7. The shape detected is extended and contracted in up-down and left-right directions only by quantity previously decided, modified to the shape of atomizing and memorized to a shift register 9. Meanwhile, since a location of the body to be applied C is detected by the signals of a pulse transmitter 5 of a conveyor D, the shape of atomizing corrected is memorized to a line register 10 while the shape is synchronously fed in a controller. The movement of an atomizing gun E is detected by the signals of a pulse transmitter 6, and the position is memorized to a reciprocal register 11. When the body to be applied C reaches an atomizing zone, the shape of atomizing, the location of the atomizing gun E and the location of the body to be applied C are compared and operated, the atomizing gun E is controlled according to a program previously decided, and the body to be applied is automatically atomized and applied.
