Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a fish-meat product which resembles crab-limb meat in appearance, by thermally coagulating a ground fish meat sheet, slitting the sheet to fine strips, and bundling the strips continuously to obtain a rod.
CONSTITUTION: A continuous sheet T of a thermally coagulated fish-paste is transferred by a front conveyor 23 and slitted to fine strips with a slitter 3. The slitted paste is flattened with an upper carrying roll 28, and placed upon a conveyor 2, which transfers the paste to the first bundling device 6a, 6b to form the paste to a U-shape. The paste is then transferred successively to the second bundling device 9a and 9b, the third bundling device 12a and 12b, and the fourth bundling device 15a and 15b, to be bundled rather firmly in an almost round shape. The bundled paste is sent to a rear conveyor 24, and cut to a proper length with a cutter 27.
