Abstract

PURPOSE: To decolorize biochemically coloring maters produced by aminals, vegetables, and microorganisms by using a specific diotritium microbe layer.
CONSTITUTION: The culture and mycelium (extract) of diotritium Sp.C-37 the application received number 4844 of Fermentation Res. Inst. of Agnecy of Idust. Scinence & Technology and C-37 strain and its abbreviation) are used. Substance to be treated is diluted to approx. 2W5 folds and then the said C-37 strain is directly cultivated in the substance or the cultured mycelium (extract) of the C-37 strain is directly added to the substance to be treated. Then, the substance so treated is kept at approx. 20W37°C for 4W10 days to decolorize the substance to be treated. This method is effective for the alcohol fermentation waste liquor of molasses in particular.
