Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of water cooling post, reduce the quantity of removed heat by cooling water and improve the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace by making the head part of the water cooling posts supporting the water cooling skid pipes in the heating furnace to the specific shape and construction.
CONSTITUTION: Water-cooling skid pipes 1 are supported by the upper funnel- form receiving parts 6 of water cooling posts 3 provided with core pipes 4. Here, the length l of the receiving parts 6 is made considerably larger than the outside diameter d of the water-cooling posts 3 and about 2.5d, by which the spacing between fulcrums by the water-cooling posts 3 may be increased by the skid pipes of the same section and the number of the water-cooling posts 3 may be reduced. The connection parts of the water-cooling skid pipes 1 and the water-cooling posts 3 supporting these are enclosed by heat-insulating materials 1 such as ceramic fibers and the outside thereof is coated by slag erosion resistant refractories 13 by way of SUS plates 12, whereby the water-cooling skids 1 and water-cooling posts 3 are coated. The heat removal quantity by cooling water is less and the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace is high.
