Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove the dust deposited on turbine blades without stopping the turbine by spraying granular converter slag together with the blast furnace top high- pressure gas to turbine blades for the recovery of the top pressure of the blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The blades of a turbine 1 are rotated by the exhaust gas of high pressure exhausted from the top of a blast furnace so that electric power is generated by the generator 8 connected thereto. At this time, the dust in the exhaust gas deposits on the turbine blades and stains the blades, resulting in the decreased output. In this case, the granular converter slag 6 is fed, with inert gas 5 such as Ar or N2 as a medium into blast furnace gas piping 2 by an ejector 4. The granular converter slag and inert gas are joined into the high pressure blast furnace exhaust gas 2 for turbine blade rotation from the upper stream side of the speed governing valve 11 in the turbine and the upper stream side of the 1st stage stationary blade 12. The granular converter slag removes and cleans the dust deposited on the turbine. Thereafter the gas is removed of dust through a dust collector and is released into the atmosphere.
