Abstract

PURPOSE: To transfer only predetermined weight of fish continuously by arranging an endless porous conveyor in a container with climbing slope, while employing the upper chamber in the container partitioned by the conveyor as fish storing hopper and providing an amount regulating mechanism at proper position immediately above the conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: Water is supplied through a hose 18 and stored in a fish storing hopper 1a. Here the excessive water is exhausted through a porous belt 6 of conveyor 3 and an overflow section 2 provided at the side of water chamber 1b to maintain the water level in the container 1 constant at the intermediate position of conveyor 3. When the water is continuously supplied to increase the density of fish gradually, the fish is carried by the lifting endless porous belt 6. In the midway of carrying, water is injected in curtain from an amount regulating mechanism 8 in the direction reverse from the running direction of conveyor 3 to maintain the depth of fish layer approximately constant, then the fish is dropped in a fish receiving hopper 12 and filled in a box 16.
