Abstract

PURPOSE: To cut the continuously cast slab to a plurality with ease by forming grooves in the continuously cast slab by the rollers provided with convex parts in the positions corresponding to the longitudinally cutting portions of the continuously cast slab on the lower part of the continuously casting mold.
CONSTITUTION: A high-temperature slab, bloom or billet 1 pulled out from the continuously casting mold is drawn by plural rollers 2.
