Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate multiple magnetic fields having definite boundaries in different directions by arranging the two magnetized regions in different directions and adjacent position where the adjacent fields in parallel have been magnetized in reversed polarity from each other. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic substance forming a current path IC of a magnetic resitor MR exhibits a resistance rs due to the first magnetic field Hs forming an angle Q1 with the direction of a bias current I, and also it exhibits a resistance rm due to the second magnetic field Hm forming an angle Q2. Thus, an output voltage Vx; Vx=i(alpha-1).rs.X+iL.rs (where alpha=rm/rs) is obtained between terminal T1 and T2. Since the level of the output voltage Vx is proportional to the length X, this magnetic field generator can output a voltage corresponding to a position where a boundary line l between the first magnetic field Hs and the second magnetic field Hm cross the current path IC of the magnetic resistor MR.
