Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent secondary disasters by providing a durable heat-insulating layer on the surface of a dirt base for restraining the permeation and geothermal evaporation of liquefied gas at an accidental overflow. CONSTITUTION:Waste concrete 15 is cast over a dirt base 13a of an earth floor 13 inside a liquid embankment 12 of a liquefied gas storage tank, and over the surface thereof, a waterproof layer 16 is provided to protect the permeation of water from under it covering the side of the liquid embankment 12. Then, formed bead concrete is cast to cover the surface of the waterproof layer 16 and the inside of the liquid embankment 12 for providing heat-insulating layers 12a' and 13b'. Moreover, a waterproof layer 17 is provided over the surface of the heat-insulating layer 13b' to protect the permeation of liquefied gas, and over the surface thereof, a surface- protecting layer 18 is provided by finishing materials with high resistances against weather and abrasion. This construction serves to restrain the permeation into the dirt base and geothermal evaporation of overflown liquefied gas.
