Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a damping characteristic of the P valve to be approximated to the perfect damping characteristic in the controller, by increasing a crossover value in the remaining system when one system is damaged and determining the rate of fluid pressure increase after the point of said crossover larger than that at the time of normal operation.
CONSTITUTION: In a housing 11, are placed P valve pistons 20, 21 in a face-to-face arrangement. Valve units 22, 24 are constructed in each piston and cooperatively actuated with valve seats 23, 25 respectively. While to the other end of each piston are fixed retainers 28, 30 between which a spring 32 is interposed to urge positions of the both valve units 22, 24 toward the direction of opening. Further to the rear of each piston are floatably engaged stepped sleeves 33, 35 to construct ring-shaped chambers 34, 36 between each of the stepped sleeves and the housing 11. When one system of the device is damaged, the stepped sleeve 33 or 35 is shifted with one piston 20 or 21 in a fixing relation with said sleeve by the fluid pressure in the other system fed to the ring-shaped chamber 34 or 36 thus to increase the spring tension of the spring 32.
