Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve workability of processing without spoiling conductivity by a method wherein auxiliary slots are provided in a rotor core in which copper series rod conductors are inserted into main slots thereof and end rings are formed integrally with auxiliary conductors in the auxiliary slots.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of mainslots 11 and auxiliary slots 12 are formed in a rotor core 1 and copper series rod conductors 3 such as of copper or brass are inserted into the main slots 11. A pair of metalic molds 4 which has an annular cavity 41 opposing to the main and auxiliary slots 11, 12 and an pouring hole 42 for end ring casting material are fitted at both sides of the rotor core 1, and by pouring fused aluminum through a pouring hole 42 of the metalic mold 4, aluminum auxiliary conductors 5 which are formed in auxiliary slots 12 and aluninum end rings 6 are integrated.
