Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a battery constituting member suitable for mass production of thin small and flexible batteries and having a coated layer which is formed by plasma flame spraying a metal, alloy, or organic substance having a melting point.
CONSTITUTION: A coated layer of metal, alloy, or organic substance having a melting point is formed by plasma flame spraying on the surface of a battery-constituting member such as an insulating material. For instance, an external constituting member of the battery is formed by plasma flame spraying active material powder 2 such as zinc, lead, and iron on the surface of a resin film or a substrate 1 of plate or foil of metal or alloy which constitutes the current collector. Preferably, metal or alloy as current collector is flame sprayed on a resin film and then an active material is flame sprayed thereon. Zinc 2 as an active material may be flame sprayed onto a clad metal substrate 1 consisting or iron 1a, nickel 1b, and copper 1c, or onto a separator.
