Abstract
PURPOSE: To completely eliminate clearance that is possibly formed between the outer surface at the end portion of a heat-transmitting tube and a hole into which said tube is inserted, by inserting the heat-transmitting tube into the top end portion of said hole formed in a tube-supporting plate, and fixing the tube securely in the hole by way of fillet welding which forms penetration bead.
CONSTITUTION: Tube-supporting plate 1 is formed with a hole into which heat- transmitting tube 2 is to be inserted. The hole is preferably grooved at the top end portion of the tube-supporting plate 1 for facilitating to weld the end portion of tube 2. By the first penetration welding, heat-transmitting tube 2 can be welded to plate 1 in the manner that any clearance is not left at the joint portion by the function of penetration bead. Further, by applying multi-layer welding on the first welding layer, if necessary,, it is possible to enhance reliability and strength at the welded portion.
