Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain economical thermographic material for which repeated use of film is applicable by employing heat-softened film, as well as a picture sheet provided with a color-developing layer forming a picture in color-developing reaction to thermosubliming naphthol on a support body. CONSTITUTION:First heat-softened film 1 softened by heat rays such as infrared rays and an original copy 2 are fitted closed to each other. Then, under the application of heat rays 5 from the side of film, a heat-rays absorbing part 4 of film corresponding to a picture part 3 of the original copy is softened to be convex-concave like. Next, after sticking thermo-subliming naphthol or phenolic derivative 6 to the heat-rays absorbing part 4 thus softened, the heat-softened film 1 is fitted closely on to a picture sheet 7 provided with a color-developing layer 9 which causes color- developing reaction on the thermo-subliming naphthol or phenolic derivative on the support body 8, and is heated as a whole up to 80-180 deg.C, thereby naphthol or phenolic derivative 6 being transferred to a color-developing layer 8, thus a positive picture being formed.
