Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture internal and external heat transfer surfaces easily and obtain extended internal and external heat transfer areas even in case of a small- sized engine by laminating many thin ring-state pannels to form the external wall of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 1 of a Stirling engine has a cap board 2 at the top thereof. Many ashtray-shaped ring pannels 4-6, with airtight seals 7-9 along those contacts of lamination, are combined to make up a heating element 3 which has an inlet 10 and outlet 11 for hot fluid. Each of the ring pannels 4-6 is designed that hot fluid may flow from small jets 12, 13 into the heating element 3 and the most interior areas 14, 15 form heat transfer channels for heating gas. A cooling element 3 is made up in the same manner as the heating element 3. The cooling element 17 has an inlet 18 and outlet 19 for cold fluid. A displacer piston 20 and power piston 23 are provided through in the cylinder 1.
