PURPOSE: To provide title resin compsn. having good coating state, coating performance and electrodeposition suitability, contg. a reaction product between polyisocyanate cpd. and an unsaturated epoxy ester resin resulting from the reaction of an amino cpd. with a reaction product between an unsaturated monobasic acid and an epoxy cpd.
CONSTITUTION: An unsaturated monobasic acid is reacted with an epoxy cpd. having at least two epoxy gp. per moelcule in an amount of not more than e.q. amount of total carboxyl gp. based on the total epoxy gp. in order to produce a reaction product contg. free epoxy gp. The reaction product is reacted with an free epoxy gp. The reaction product is reacted with an amino cpd. having at least two active hydrogen per molecule to produce an unsaturated epoxy ester resin (A). There is provided compsn. contg., as main component, a reaction product between (A) the unsaturated epoxy ester resin and (B) polyisocyanate having at least one blocked isocyanate gp. and at most one free isocyanate gp. per molecule. Alternatively, there is provided compsn. contg., as main component, a mixt. of (A) and the reaction product between (A) and (B).
