Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a sqirrel-cage rotor with a large outside diameter of a secondary core by an arrangement wherein a slot on both ends of a secondary core is provided nearer to an axis than a slot on the center, and a secondary conductor, an end ring and a blade are of monoblock casting. CONSTITUTION:A laminated iron plate having a slot on its outer periphery side is provided at the center of a secondary core 15, and another laminated iron plate having a slot deeply inward is provided on both ends. Then between laminated iron plates of the center and both the ends, there is provided a laminated iron plate having a slot through to the slots provided on those of the center and both the ends. The secondary conductor 16, a both-side end ring 2 and a blade 3 are formed in aluminum monoblock casting on the secondary core 15, and diameters of the end ring 2 and the blade 3 are arranged smaller than an outside diameter of the secondary core 15. According to this constitution, the outside diameter of the secondary core 15 can be enlarged within a permissible stress arising on the blade by rotations.
