Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a mooring chain from a cutting accident by a method wherein an inner tank of a cargo mooring buoy is filled with compressed gas, floating in use of buoy, and the tank gas being discharged to sink in the sea bottom in the nonusable period.
CONSTITUTION: An inner tank 18 of the cargo buoy 2 moored on the ocean 1 by an anchor 4, and a chain 3 located at the sea bottom 11 is connected with a compressed gas pipe 13, a hose 12, and a nozzle 16. On using the buoy, the tank 18 located within the buoy 2 is filled with the compressed gas through the pipe 13, the hose 12, and the nozzle 16 to float the buoy 2. When the compressed gas is filled, the water in the tank 18 is discharged from the sea water nozzle 15. When not in use, the gas in the tank 18 is discharged to fill in the sea water through nozzle to sink the buoy.
