Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent marine pollution in such a way that gravity may overcome buoyancy at the same time with eliminating mixture of oil from ballast water which is drained by feeding and draining properly the ballast water into and out of a ballast tank and flexible and water-tight bag in the internal shell.
CONSTITUTION: Even if oil amount in the internal shell 3 may be the intermediate amount in comparison with full lading time and empty event, ballast water amount is properly adjusted in a ballast tank 5 between internal and external shells and a bag 10 in the internal shell 3, to let gravity overcome buoyancy. In case where oil is filling into the internal shell 3 starting from the condition that oil is empty in the internal shell 3 and ballast water filled in the bag 10, collapse of the ballast water in the bag 10 under weight of oil enables to drain sea water through a piping 12, but since it does not absolutely come into contact with ballast water in the bag 10, there is no problem of marine pollution, and any separator of oil from water will be unnecessary.
