Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a multi-layered tube with filling precision and high quality consuming less manhours by a method wherein the end part of a multi-layered tube with a closed inner tube is dipped in the molten filler and the filler is permeated into its clearance.
CONSTITUTION: An inner tube 16 is inserted in parallel with an outer tube 15 through a clearance between them, the bottom end of the inner tube 16 is sealed by plugs 18, a coating cover 21 is set at the bottom end of the outer tube 15 and they are inserted vertically into a vessel 2 of filler 14 through an open sleeve 8, a seal 7. The plug 18 at the bottom end of the inner tube 16 is supported directly on a supporting bush 12, the outer tube 15, the inner tube 16 are dipped in the molten filler 14 and the sleeve 8, the seal 7 are closed. In this state the filler 14 rises by capillary action from the bottom end through the clearances 22, is permeated and fills the clearances 22. When full permeation is not made, compressed air or inert gas, etc. is supplied from a pressure supply hole 11 and the liquid surface of the filler 14 is pressured and satisfactory permeation can be obtained.
