Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct removal described in the title without causing bad influence to electrocoating and with low consumption of ozone, by injecting ozone into a portion of electrocoating soln. passing through a filter at a tower positioned between the filter and a post-treating vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Electrocoating soln. is filtrated in a filter 3, where a portion of microorganism and ozone-consuming material other than microorganism are removed, then a large portion of the soln. is returned through the outlet of the filter 3 to an electrocoating bath tank 2, and a portion is sent through a post-treating washing tank 4 to the bath tank 2. When the microorganism increases, the electrocoating soln. which is to be sent through the filter 3 to the washing tank 4 is led to an ozone-reacting tower 12 by the operation of a three-way valve 10, where the electrocoating soln. is sterilized with ozone generated by an ozonizer 13 and introduced into the tower 12 through a diffusing tube 14. After sterilization, the electrocoating soln. is sent to the washing tank 4, where it is used for the treatment of the material to be treated, then it is returned to the bath tank 2.
