Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a number of parts needed for an electric motor and obtain a high torque characteristic by applying a voltage of full wave to three-phase stator- windings placed in Y-connection according to the output signal from two Hall elements. CONSTITUTION:Around a rotor 1 made of a permanent magnet, Hall elements 1PS and 2PS are arranged at an interval of about 120 deg.. Each end of three-phase stator-windings 2U, 2V, and 2W is placed in Y-connection, and the other ends of the coils are connected to transistors 3-8 which are placed in push-pull. Signals of the same polarity, either positive or negative, of the signals obtained by the Hall elements 1PS and 2PS are combined each other in a fixed control circuit to produce driving signals for the three phases. The stator windings 2U, 2V, and 2W are applied with a voltage of full wave by switching each of the transistors 3-8 according to the driving signals.
