Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate an expanding unit for a rescue buoy device to float the rescue by providing a valve opened or closed by the pressure difference between hydraulic pressure and compressed gas pressure at the outlet of the compressed gas in a device for opening the valve of the expanding unit for the rescue buoy device consisting of a constant-volume float, an expandable float and the expanding unit.
CONSTITUTION: A compressed gas container 8 as an expanding unit is provided in the lower skirt 17a of the lower guide rope drum reel 17 under a rescue buoy device for a submarine boat consisting of a constant-volume float, an expandable float and the expanding unit, and feeds the gas through a relief valve 9 and a feed tube 10 into the expandable float. A valve body 9c is provided in the relief valve 9 to open or close the feed tube 10 for the compressed gas 8, and closed by a locking rod 11 when contained in the submarine boat 12. When the buoy is seperated from the submarine boat to rise to predetermined position, the valve 9 is opened by means of the pressure difference between the hydraulic pressure and the compressed gas pressure in the container 8 to thereby expand the expandable float through the feed tube 10.
