Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance heat collecting efficiency and to perfect flashing by a method wherein the bottom portion of a solar heat collector is thermally insulated by metallic roofing members, and the top portion and peripheral walls of the collector are constructed in heat insulating structure. CONSTITUTION:Metallic roofing members A consist of a heat insulating structure comprising heat insulating material placed under metal plates 4 serving as the surface of the roof, and are interconnected in water-tight condition by connection members B. The members B each consist of an extruded member being thermally insulated (27), and form a box-shaped space, together with a cover glass frame C inserted between adjacent members B. The space is partitioned into plural compartments, each of which is thermally insulated at its bottom and side portions. A heat collecting pipe 46 is fitted in each of the compartments.
