Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the percentage of the active region and thus to realize a high- speed operation by constituting the divider circuit by securing a vertical connection between three units of PCH (channel) transistor Tr and the NCHTr. CONSTITUTION:PCHMOSTr9, 11 and 13 plus NC HMOSTr10, 12 and 14 are connected in series and vertically; and drain terminals C of Tr13 and 14 are connected to the gates of inverter Tr15 and 16 plus Tr9 and 10. Then the input signals of opposite axis to each other are applied to the gates of Tr11 and 14 plus Tr12 and 13. As Tr9, 11 and 13 are connected in series and Tr9 and 15 can share the source and the gate, PCHTr9, 11 and 13 can be formed only with the triple ring gate (oblique-lines areas). And thus the PCH region is occupied almost by the active region. The NCH is formed quite symmetrically to the PCH. As a result, a high degree of integration becomes possible with the CH width of Tr increased, thus increasing gm for suitable application with a high speed.
