Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove salt content from a large amount of sea sand by a method wherein sea sand is charged in a wash tank, fresh water is sprayed from the top to separate salt and sand in sea sand, and salt content is discharged together with wash water via drain mechnism at the bottom of the wash tank.
CONSTITUTION: Excavated sea sand A is charged in a wash tank 1, and fresh water B is sprayed over the entire surface of the sand to separate sea sand A into salt and sand. Salt, together with water, flows into each concaved hole 2... at the bottom of the tank 1, passes through couduit pipe 3, drain pipe 6, and is discharged into sea or drainage. Thus, the wash tank 1 contains sea sand from which salt is completely removed. By repeating this operation several times continuously, salt is efficiently removed from a large amount of sea sand in a short period of time.
