Abstract
PURPOSE: To wash the electrodeposition plates rapidly and effectively by dipping the plural electrodeposition plates in the washing solution in an ultrasonic washing cell and radiating ultrasonic waves for the specified time.
CONSTITUTION: One lot of the electrodeposition plates 1 having been electrodeposited with electrolytic deposits are suspended in a piled state by a suspending device 3, are put in a rack 4 and are conveyed so that they are dipped in an ultrasonic washing cell 5. Ultrasonic waves are then generated toward the direction parallel to the faces of the electrodeposition plates 1 by the vibrators 6 of, e.g., magnetostrictive type, mounted to the both side walls 5a and bottom plate 5b in the width direction of the electrodeposition plates 1. The washing solution in the inside is kept always in a fluid state by the circulating pump 9 connected to the cell 5 and a circulation cell 10. At the same time, the liquid level is detected with a float switch 9 and when the liquid level lowers, the ultrasonic wave generation is stopped to provide protection to the vibrators 6. The washing solution is circulated and filtered by a circulation pump 11 and filter device 12, whereby it is maintained clean.
