Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve testing accuracy by adding a light source or the like which radiates light from diagonally behind to the shutter curtains.
CONSTITUTION: A light source 54 which radiates light diagonally to a shutter curtain 103 from its behind, a photo detector 55, a slit plate 56 and an imaging optical system 57 are disposed. Then, when the shutter front curtain 103a covers the photographing image plane, the light from the light source 54 radiates part 61 of the back of the shutter front curtain 103a and part of the reflected light enters the entire surface of the slit hole 56a of a slit plate 56. On the other hand, when the slit 103c formed by the trailing end of the shutter front curtain 103a and the leading end of the rear curtain 103b is within a radiation range 61, the light of the light source 54 goes through the slit 103c and enters the camera inside. Hence, the output waveform of the photo detector 55 becomes trapezoidal and the passage of the specified position within the photographing image plane of the shutter curtain end part is accurately detected.
