Abstract
PURPOSE:To elute away the core inserted into the casting in a short time without corrosion of the casting by combination of chemical treatment and vibration treatment such as giving of vibrations to the casting to promote the convection of the liquid in contact with the core at the time of causing the core react with the liquid and removing the same. CONSTITUTION:A core 2 made of quartz or the like having a through-hole 1 is inserted by stainless steel 3 and is set at the intermediate position of liquid cells 5, 5a by a seal 9. Next, e.g., an NaOH melt liquid 4 of 500 deg.C (heated by an outside heating furnace 8) is flowed from the liquid cell 5 to the liquid cell 5a with the through-hole 1 as a channel by the air pressure from an air change-over valve 10 so that the core 2 is eluted away. According to this method, the convection of the alkaline melt liquid in the core through-hole is accelerated and the stagnating layer thickness in the melt liquid in contact with the core 2 becomes small, hence the exclusion of the melt liquid rich with the product of reaction and the supply of the fresh melt liquid to take place of this are accelerated. Further, as compared to autoclave treatment, the treating apparatus and running cost are cheaper.
