Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the Ta powder of considerably improved specific electrostatic capacity characteristic by evenly mixing and melting one or more kinds of Si, Si compounds, Ca salt or phosphate in K2TaF7 in the presence of a diluent, Na-reducing the same and using the same for a sintered type electrolytic condenser.
CONSTITUTION: The molten bath mixed evenly with a dilutent (e.g.; NaCl) and additives of one or more kinds of Si, Si compounds, Ca salt or phosphate in K2TaF7 is prepared. Thence, this molten bath is Na-reduced to produce the intended Ta powder containing Si, Ca or P element. For the temperature of this Na reduction, e.g., 800°C is employed.
