Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the energy used for idle operation and to uniformly buff works by making the buff move vertically during buffing operation while making the work move under the buff as it is turned in the horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:In buffing a wheel cap 4, a buff 2 is positioned on the upper surface and at the outer peripehery of the wheel cap 4, and then the buff 2 and the wheel cap 4 are turned by motors 1 and 10 respectively, while a carrier 13 carrying the wheel cap 4 is moved in the direction of the arrow (A). As the carrier 13 is moved, the buffing area changes from the periphery toward the convex central part of the wheel cap 4 so that the buff 2 is pivoted clockwise about a pin 8 provided at the rear end of the motor 1, thus uniformly buffing the wheel cap 4.
