Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a composite fiber capable of giving a melange color, by feeding one of the two or more organic polymer materials having different physico-chemical properties to a spinneret intermittently.
CONSTITUTION: At least one (A) of two or more types of organic high polymer materials, e.g. a combination of cation- and acid-dyeable acrylonitrile polymers, having fiber- forming properties and different physico-chemical properties is fed to the orifice intermittently and immediately before joining to give a composite fiber wherein A has the tapered parts 3 intermittently in the fiber axis direction. The chemical and physical properties of the fiber vary in the axis direction.
