Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the mixing of mists into condensed water, and to obtain the condensed water with high purity, by a mechanism wherein steam flow paths and the collecting passages of the mists are formed by means of a condensed liquid tray and a guide plate additionally mounted to the tray.
CONSTITUTION: Seawater fed from a water supply port 12 for heating is heated by a heating medium fluidized in heating tubes 2, and flashed and vaporized. The surface of a brine liquid oscillates when the seawater is flashed and vaporized, and steam currents are accompanied by liquid-drops and mists. Steam accompanied by the liquid-drops and the mists is divided into two directions against a condensed liquid tray 4 and rises in the pan, and collides near an inlet of a void portion 7, and the grain diameters of the mists that the steam currents are accompanied are enlarged. The steam currents joining near the inlet of the void portion 7 are admitted into the tray 4 by sucking force in the tray 4. The mists collide with a guide plate 6 by centrifugal force at that time and adhere to the plate and are collected, flow down along an inwall, and are discharged outside the pan through a drain extracting pipe 9. Steam whose mists are separated at the void portion 7 condenses in the tray 4, and is extracted from a condensed water extracting port as generated distilled water.
