Abstract

PURPOSE: To discover a seat leak of the reducing valve early by providing a carbonic acid gas concentration detector, relay and alarm which are operated by a detection signal from said detector to the blow-off pipe of safety valve in the secondary circuit of the reducing valve.
CONSTITUTION: Gas leaked in the atmospheric air pipe 10 is detected by the concentration detector 11 and is converted into an electric signal to discover the leak early by means of the alarm 12. Also a unit exclusively used in the actual spot, in which the detector 11 and the relay 13 are incorporated, is installed to perform a visual inspection. Moreover two safety valves can be used in series and the detector can be mounted on the discharge pipe that connects the said valves to each other to detect the leak surely. In this way, the reducing valve can be repaired or replaced early by using the carbon acid gas automatic feeder of the gas cooling rotary machine when a seat leak of the reducing valve takes place.
