Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a pocket which is even in the thickness from a polyolefinic resin sheet with a narrow molding temperature range by premolding the synthetic resin sheet into a shape slightly smaller than that as originally designed with a female die as heated before the finish molding with a die as cooled.
CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin sheet 10 is passed through a heating zone 11 to soften. Then, it is passed through a guide section 13 to be premolded A into a shape 16' slightly smaller than that of the finish shape by blowing a pressure air. Then, the sheet thus premolded is finish molded B with a pair of dies 14 and 15, female and male, as cooled to yield a given pocket 16. The ratio between the size of the premolding at the first stage and that of the finish molding in the pocket is determined by the ratio between the area corresponding to the top of the pocket and that corresponding to the side thereof in the shape.
