Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out easily and conveniently fluorometric determination of glutathione by using a specific salt of aminonaphthalenesulfonamide. CONSTITUTION:Fluorometric analysis is carried out by using as a reagent sodium N-chloro-1-dimethylaminonaphthalene-5-sulfonamide (DNS-NCl.Na). Morespecifically, a sample to be examined is added to a methanol solution (concentration of about 0.01-0.0125%) of DNS-NCl.Na, and the mixture is agitated. Emitted fluorescent light is measured under and excitation wavelength of 345nm and fluorescence wavelength of 515nm.
